Longhaired Conservative no more.

I meant to send off this little caterpillar a month ago, right after I had it cut. It evidently had other plans.  I just found the tin-foil it was wrapped in tucked behind some other things on the to-do list, hiding. Maybe some kid will enjoy having salt and pepper hair. I suspect they’ll dye it, or take one look at that mass of stuff and chunk it.

Wigs for Kids is an organization that makes wigs for children who lose their hair due to some medical treatment or disease, similar to Locks of Love. They provide the wigs free of charge but each wig takes around $2000 to produce. If you can make a donation, I’m absolutely positive it would be appreciated.

I had a time picking which to donate to. It came down to a coin toss and Wigs for Kids got the nod.

Back to house work. I’m a Domesticated Robot this weekend. Mom should be proud.

    All I can say is:
Be a braid. Be very a braid!

  • […] The ‘Bot makes a really nice gesture. Funny, I never pictured the ‘Bot as a long haired Conservative. […]

I cut mine off years ago, haven’t been the same since……..

Randy, I go back and forth. Some years I want it. Some I don’t. Depends on my mood of the decade, I guess. :)

Bot, you just put the lie to the old adage that “human tails” cover the same things that “pony” tails do!

    • mnrobot October 10, 2010 at 11:35 pm

Hi Gorges, sometimes you still have to cover your a$$

Bot are you worried about losing your powers or is it already too late?

    • mnrobot October 11, 2010 at 5:14 pm

      John, there’s always spinach.

Wait a minute. Hold the phone! Charity?

I thought conservatives were evil and only government guns could provide charity. Go figure.

    • mnrobot October 11, 2010 at 5:15 pm

Heh, charity begins at home, at the point of a gun?

  • Red October 11, 2010 at 5:10 pm

I’m still referring you as ‘LHC’ from time to time. I like the abbreviation and I have a sneaking suspicion you’ll grow it back. Good on ya ‘bot!

    • mnrobot October 11, 2010 at 5:16 pm

Your suspicions are founded in truth my dear.

  • KingShamus October 12, 2010 at 8:22 am

Long-haired robots? How is this even possible?

    The mind reels.

(Seriously, good job with the donation.)

    • mnrobot October 12, 2010 at 2:38 pm

Be sure to set that hook before you start reeling, Shamus. :)

  • Matt October 12, 2010 at 8:02 pm

You’re a good Robot. That was a nice gesture.

Great, great cause! Conservative bloggers are awesome.
