Have a great weekend folks, what’s left of it.
Quite a few bloggers have stepped into the radio world of late so here’s a little roundup of those shows for you.
First, Chris Wysocki from Wyblog and Right Wing News was interviewed on the Andre Contraversa Show. He’s got the last thirty minute slot, right after Prof. William Jacobson of the blog Legal Insurrection. Both interviews have some great conversations.
Chris has embedded the player in a post over at his place.
Next, Joy McCann of Little Miss Attila and R. S. McCain of The Other McCain discuss feminism on DaTechGuy’s Radio Show in an ongoing feud to drive more traffic to their blogs. I think it’s working.
LMA has a post discussing the dustup and she thoughtfully included some feminist Rule 5. (Can there be such a thing?) Thanks Joy!
Stacy McCain has also posted about the debate and included a list of his previous postings on feminism.
Bonus: Roxeanne de Luca and Cynthia Yockey also make appearances on DaShow.
Now, while we’re on the subject of bloggers on the radio, I remember a show from last December featuring a couple of my favorites, the fearless Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs and Bob Belvedere of The Camp of the Saints, also on DaTechGuy on DaRadio. Pamela, as I recall, was on fire that day, let me tell ya.
Lastly, please note that DaTechGuy is moving to a new website DaTechGuyBlog.com so, be sure to update your links.
Congratulations to all of you guys on your excellent interviews and debates. Here’s to many more appearances in the future.
To the rest of you, happy listening!
Just this morning I changed some text to the last post about the cartoon. I felt a line or two wasn’t worded properly, so I changed it. Being as that text was of little import, it was just an intro to a cartoon and no one is likely to quote that particular piece of drivel anyway, I don’t see any harm in revising it.
On the other hand is the case of an article to which I might like to add some corroborating information. It was published a few weeks ago, and I’m considering an addendum since I think sometimes people are hesitant to follow links provided in an article because they are in a hurry or fear their ADHD might take over (like me) and get side tracked from the topic at hand.
While pondering the addendum, I was reminded of a post over at Little Miss Attila’s place last year where she discussed some basic guidelines of blogging, and was wondering if what follows would be an acceptable form of revision rather than a re-write and/or re-publish of the article under another title or an additional piece referencing the original article, which would split them up.
For the sake of this example, I’ll use some Lorem Ipsum text:
——————————-
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Robot blathering on about something or another. Aliquam rhoncus justo in nisl dapibus sed dapibus libero auctor. Curabitur tincidunt posuere augue, ut cursus urna iaculis vel. Blather blather blather. Vestibulum viverra, ligula eget mollis aliquet, arcu orci venenatis dolor, quis aliquet quam nunc tempor felis. Sed bibendum arcu as noted in the article in The American Spectator:
This will be the added quote from the article previously linked but not quoted. Sed porttitor accumsan erat a sodales. Integer luctus dictum posuere. Proin gravida blandit nibh id fringilla. Pellentesque ut cursus nisl. Donec ultrices facilisis imperdiet. Fusce condimentum justo sed dui blandit eleifend.
Article continues verbosely meandering along…
————————–
As in the example above, the previous article is in the original text’s color and the new text will be in some color designated at the end of the article as addendum. No other changes other than whatever verbiage is necessary to include the new quote(s) in a readable manner. As mentioned earlier, the only reasons to include the quote(s) is, I feel it will help the validity of the original arguments and possibly entice some readers to actually follow the links they may not be inclined to do otherwise.
Any thoughts pro or con?
How do you handle such things at your blog?
Oh, and in case your wondering, the post I’m considering adding the quotes to is the one on treason from President’s Day.
UPDATE: Changed the words “This will be the added quote from the article previously referenced.” to “This will be the added quote from the article previously linked but not quoted.” in an attempt to clarify.
The sexual revolution revisited.
Note: The Prime page gets a new addition.

Sunday UPDATE 1:30 pm:
Sliced and ready.
It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood,
A beautiful day for a neighbor.
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?…
Won’t you be, my neighbor?
Hi boys and girls.
Welcome to Mr. Robot’s neighborhood.
A lot has been happening over the last few weeks, and sometimes we get so busy that we forget to take time for friends. to smell the roses so to speak.
There are lots of flower gardens in Mr. Robot’s neighborhood. There are lilies, daffodils, dandelions, azaleas, obaminions, daisys, Chaz Yonsons. Not to mention the rose bushes.
And speaking of roses, it’s been a while since we’ve gone to see our friend Carol who, strangely, makes the robot dream of electric sheep. (shhhh – Don’t go there. This is a PG 13 show.)
Would you kids like to come with me to visit the nice ladies in the neighborhood? Sure you would. Let’s go.
Carol has been busy decorating and adding her own brand of Christmas spice to her No Sheeples Here! website. She has also been honored with a nomination for the “Grande Conservative Blogress Diva 2011†award from Gay Patriot. And we here at the Robot’s Pub and Pool Hall congratulate her for this most deserved nomination.

One wonders what can possibly be the reasoning of the Democrat party to align with people such as this.
Then we find her giving no slack to the President and his regime and offering another thoughtful rumination for our consideration.

Happy Labor Day Weekend comrades!
Here’s a little roundup of great posts from the Robo-Reading List to help you through the next few days.
First, Carol of No Sheeples Here is participating in Project 2996, which for her part she honors the slain of 9/11/2001 with a tribute a day until Sept. 11. A very touching way to remember the heroes of that day who lost their lives. Carol’s blog has been featured blog this week, so please be sure to visit her site and let her know that an imaginary robot does indeed dream of electric sheep. Thank you.
As a side note, I’m considering changing the title of “Featured Blog” to “Honorary Android” or something close like “Android Army.” What do you think? Suggestions?
Next up is the blogosphere’s very own Stacy McCain, who truly earns the title of “Roving Reporter” this week by traveling all the way to Alaska to cover some Republican primary or something. I think Joe Miller’s name came up at some point. While he was in the neighborhood, he stopped in to check on the Palin family.
As Red said, “How freaking cool is this?”
Speaking of my favorite redhead, she and the crew of Corndog are in the process of making the move to Texas and could use a little help for the U-Haul. Drop by over there and throw a couple of bucks in the tip jar.
So, one half of The Other McCain is off playing world traveler, rubbing elbows and rattling the tip jar no doubt trying to get enough shoe leather funds for a ride home, while Smitty, the balder and sometimes bolder half is covering everything else it would seem. Some highlights:
SOS: Sissypuss, Obama, And Skippy
Staying on the election theme, my Jersey buddy Russ, the constant campaigner has been working his arse off for another favorite of mine, Anna Little who is up against some huge opposition in the form of Frank Pallone. Russ exudes confidence in his post over at The Resistance:
I’m telling you right now, as you sit there, that this is the single biggest House electoral upset in history in the making.
Just a sample of what we’re up against:
- 22-year hard progressive incumbent (proud author of PalloneCare and cap-and-trade)
- $4 million warchest (the richest in the house)
- 2 to 1 D to R demographic in the 6th District (34-17)
- Ridiculously gerrymandered District intended solely to keep Frank Pallone in office (just look at it sometime)
But we’re gonna win.
Here’s a link to Anna’s donation page. It takes money to win these campaigns folks. Either we give now to the candidates who will fight the beast or the beast will take your money anyway to redistribute as they see fit. The choice is yours.
I must add that all of the above causes are ones I consider most worthy. I wouldn’t recommend a donation to someone I haven’t personally donated to myself.
Now for something more light-hearted, The Troglopundit attempts to overcome yesterday’s Eva Mendes hotness with a single Megan Fox pic. Weak, my friend, weak, but still hot!
Lance also asks a relevant question.
Little Miss Attila brings up a good point about Chuck Norris:
Of course, there’s the issue of whether we should be listening to a guy who loses his damn gun in every single movie he’s in . . .
Then again, he is Chuck Norris, why would he be carrying a gun if not to lose it for the plot line?
Ha! I just used “Chuck Norris” and “plot line” in the same sentence. Where’s my award?
Bluegar. ROTFL Cougar. Bluegar. Whatever, watch the vid.
How does one spell “Bluegar” anyway?
Ruby Slippers points us to Dallas, TX Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson’s apparent mis-allocation of funds to her own relatives and the poor job she puts forth in defense of her actions.
Since 2005 Johnson has awarded a total of 23 scholarships to family members.Johnson additionally awarded scholarships to 5 other students who did not meet the residency requirements specified by the nonprofit Congressional Black Caucus Foundation
Eddie Bernice Johnson is also pointed out on this blog’s Texas 11 page, which highlights the 11 Texas Representatives who voted for Obamacare, but the main reason for that page is not just to highlight those Socialist scumbags but to call attention to their opponents. Eddie B. Johnson’s opponent is the most worthy Stephen Broden, a Constitutional Conservative who has been a featured guest on the Glenn Beck Show on several occasions and who I believe spoke at the Restoring Honor Rally in D.C. last weekend with Dr. Alveda King although I did not see that part personally.
Hmmm, I think I just found a nomination for next weeks Ten Buck Fridays poll. Steven Broden!
Yankee Phil brings some Dennis Miller and MMMMMM, Bacon.
Cassandra over at Villainous Company plays Queer Eye for the Oval Office Guy, with hilarious results. And don’t forget the comments. Out. Freaking. Standing. Stellar work, Madame.

Oversight Update:
——————————————————
Someone taught me how to treat my friends.
This just may qualify for a Rule 5 posting. Tune in Sunday to find out!
In the WTF department, it seems there is a tampon* of a man named Robert Leslie Hymers III, the son of Robert Leslie Hymers Jr. who is the leader of a Protestant cult once named the Open Door Community Churches, and the son has decided to feud with a certain Blog Mistress named Little Miss Attila. (Full disclosure: I love her blog.)
I would categorize this as a “bad idea.”
In the past, she apparently shared some of her forthright thoughts and comments regarding her experiences in his fathers “church”, and he’s none too happy about it. He’s evidently asked the FBI to investigate stalking behavior from Miss Attila.
How does one stalk from a blog? Inquiring minds want to know.
Dude.
First off, you need to look again at the title of the lady’s blog before you decide to do something this imbecilic.
Secondly, have you noticed the name of her blog?
