Continuing the mantra of “I never met a communist I didn’t like,” the Obama’s welcomed Chinese Dictator Hu Jintau to the White-house with open arms and a formal dinner this week while his Democrat cronies prattled on about China’s currency policies and paid token lip service the country’s human rights violations, all the while warning China that “If they don’t straighten up, we’re going to use some really tough language, Little Mister.”

Note to our comrades in Congress: have you looked in the collective mirror lately? Anyone noticed that China holds the majority of US debt to the tune of $1   trillion? Threatening China with tariffs at this point would be akin to telling your loan shark to take a flying leap off the nearest skyscraper, with equally horrifying and predictable results. Cement shoes, anyone? Stop with the useless posturing and set your own finances in order before you start telling others to balance their checkbooks.

Personally, I think the biggest points scored for the Obama’s were by Michelle with a tie-dyed flaming red and orange something-or-other that must have been retro-fitted from a set of movie theater drapes, which was overly dramatic and so, fit the occasion perfectly, in her own obtuse way. Hu knows? Maybe the drapes in question will be returned to said cinema and enshrined after the occasion.

I also wonder if they re-gifted those Chairman Mao tree ornaments, or if the dinner plates were leaded with Mao’s likeness. Yum!

On a related note, a classic rock band has weighed in on the situation:

Heh, sorry. Couldn’t resist.

Here’s another relevant one:

Well, as close to here as I can be and not actually be here. This is a drive by post, really.

Work has been kicking my butt lately so I’m obviously not posting as much. I am however working on updating the US Timeline page in my spare time and yesterday added some new entries mentioned in an outstanding post over at Fuzzy Logic. I’m also working to add a few more later this evening or tomorrow. The rueful thing is, there are ever more additions to make to the list. :(

Meanwhile, my friend Steve sent me some musical pron that I just have to share. Some Rule 5 in the form of Meytal Cohen.

This chick rocks! Check it out:

What is Rule 5 you ask?

It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood,
A beautiful day for a neighbor.
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?…

Won’t you be, my neighbor?

Hi boys and girls.

Welcome to Mr. Robot’s neighborhood.

A lot has been happening over the last few weeks, and sometimes we get so busy that we forget to take time for friends. to smell the roses so to speak.

There are lots of flower gardens in Mr. Robot’s neighborhood. There are lilies, daffodils, dandelions, azaleas, obaminions, daisys, Chaz Yonsons. Not to mention the rose bushes.

And speaking of roses, it’s been a while since we’ve gone to see our friend Carol who, strangely, makes the robot dream of electric sheep. (shhhh – Don’t go there. This is a PG 13 show.)

Would you kids like to come with me to visit the nice ladies in the neighborhood? Sure you would. Let’s go.

Carol has been busy decorating and adding her own brand of Christmas spice to her No Sheeples Here! website. She has also been honored with a nomination for the “Grande Conservative Blogress Diva 2011” award from Gay Patriot. And we here at the Robot’s Pub and Pool Hall congratulate her for this most deserved nomination.

Just beyond Carol’s abode is one of my favorite magnolia blossoms, Obi’s Sister. I wonder what Obi’s Sister has been up to this week? Let’s peek in to find out….
Look! she’s found Teh Awesome.

Obi’s Sister always brings the good stuff to the party.

Down the road a little more, we find Opus#6 doing some redecorating of her own.

Good for her. Woodsterman does indeed have a knack for the olde school workmanship.

Opie shares that bit of beauty with us and in the post before, asks us to answer this sobering question:

Tell me again how Islam is the religion of Peace?

One wonders what can possibly be the reasoning of the Democrat party to align with people such as this.

Then we find her giving no slack to the President and his regime and offering another thoughtful rumination for our consideration.

As we walk down the streets and lanes of Mr. Robot’s Neighborhood we also find some other great things on display and ladies espousing their unique points of view.

UPDATE: I missed this yesterday which could have been a worse mistake but for finding it today. Which is to say, how fortunate for those of you who had also missed it, because now, you haven’t.

Due to the thoughtful presentation and thorough documentation of the following article,  it will be included on the “Prime” page of this blog for future reference.

Bravo Fuzzy.

History Class (Circa 2100)

Thanks to all these ladies for their hard work, for making my little neighborhood look and smell so nice, and for keeping your sharp eyes out for the monsters under the bed, or in the White House.

Merry Christmas ladies, and to you readers who put up with a drunken automaton.

Does Fiona meet with The Other McCain’s or Wombat’s *ahem* strict Rule 5 specifications?

Patience, grasshopper. Sunday awaits.

… I jotted down as possibilities for posts one morning this week while listening to the radio. Yea, amazing how much the government throws at us, all at once. It’s quite literally impossible for one person to keep up. I didn’t get around to any of them due to a heavy workload, but that doesn’t mean the issues aren’t worthy of your attention or scrutiney.

NATION:

Isn’t it time we ceased all government funding of “art?”

Wikileaks – I call this a major distraction. I know, its big, but think of this, if they are using the latest leak as a distraction, something this huge, just what do they want to distract us from?

No one person has done more to jeopardize American lives and make the American people unsafe than President Obama. ~ Pamela Geller

Child Nutrition Billsupposedly defeated, I won’t believe it til I see the bloody stake. It lives! Adrienne has the humor.

Food Bill S510 – Are you ready for the FDA in your backyard garden? Big Brother’s itching to put his green thumb on your neck.

Gulf drilling ban extended to 7 years while foreign nations drill in same waters – further proof of Obama’s hatred for business and red states.

Abortion on military basesIs that really necessary?

DREAM ACT – I’m still for deporting all illegal immigrants and securing the border. However, here’s another sober take on the issue.

TEXAS:

New “Buzzed Driving” Bill, lowers the legal limit of alcohol to .05%. – Why not just close every beer joint, pub and bar and bring back prohibition? Which is what this bill would effectively do. These girls are definitely against it.

Houston – Cameras cameras cameras. First the Red Light Cameras and Houston City Hall’s refusal to honor the will of the people, now the city is set to install police surveillance cameras all over the city. Can you scream Big Brother loud or often enough?

More thought provoking stuff at MCT.

The latest to receive a pseudo-imaginary trophy as Featured Blog here at the Robot is my good friend Steve of Motor City Times. It’s a long overdue honor, however dubious it may be.

Our government is steadily growing in size and complexity. Lucky for us, Steve, along with the other rabble rousers and Right Wing Conspirators who gather from time to time at The Resistance, stand ever vigilant, watching and documenting the increasing encroachments of our liberty.

You owe yourself an honest look at where the true enemies of liberty make their camps, as the battlefield of ideas is an ever changing landscape and one would be wise to not discount Steve’s assessment of the state of our great nation.

For me, Motor City Times is a trusted source of news and info from not only Detroit and the state of Michigan but from across the fruited plains and across the globe. Steve has a sharp eye for detail as one can see from his thoughtful analysis and commentary on a wide ranging field of study, from economics to climate change to music and of course any manner of automobile and motorized contraption one can fathom. Steve’s site is definitely a worthwhile pit-stop on the Information Superhighway.

Be sure to bookmark Motor City Times. Visit often, and leave a comment or two. Bloggers like that sort of thing.

Also, be sure to give Motor City Times a place in your blogroll, if you haven’t already done so. You’ll be glad you did.

I’m thankful for many things in life. To be in the company of fine folk such as yourselves, I count as a blessing. I raise a glass to all you patriotic friends and acquaintances. God bless us, everyone. And please God, Bless America.

In Jesus’ name, Amen

First, your attention please. A lawful gun owner is under attack and about to be wrongly imprisoned for seven years for lawfully transporting guns, unloaded and in his trunk with no ammunition in the vicinity. How can this happen in America?

The Article:

Brian Aitken’s Mistake – A New Jersey man gets seven years for being a responsible gun owner.

Won’t you sign the petition to New Jersey Governor Chris Christie in  support of Brian Aitken?

Thanks to Red for bringing this to our attention.

And please share this story with every freaking person in America.

Next, two more blood boiling moments:

From The Daley Gator – Unfreakingbelievable

And Obi?s Sister – Whhhaaaaaaaaat?

Finally, newly added to the Prime page is this center-punched commentary and motivational manifesto from Mister Pterodactyl.

My take? When you start beat boxing your own political pet peeve or single issue voter scenario, re-read this post. You are going to read it for the first time now, aren’t you? Yes. You should. Then bookmark it. Better yet, print it out and tape it to your refrigerator. Then e-mail it to your friends. You could also have it tattooed to your inner eye lids. OK, maybe a bit much. Maybe.

Hat Tip the Troglopundit,

from where I followed this Mister Pterodactyl link.

Now, why was Mister Pterodactyl missing from the Robotic Blogroll?

I blame the leeches.

Omission happily, humbly corrected.

ps, If you haven’t done so, please be sure to stop by and wish Bob a speedy recovery from whatever bad mojo has been oppressed upon him.

The Troglopundit has posted a video of what he deems “The most adorable spider I’ve ever seen” which reminds me of a video I posted on the other blog. Thanks to Lance for reminding me of this. Although now that I watch it again, some of these spiders might be less than “adorable.” Some might even be classified as “dangerous” or may be from Chicago.

See for yourself:

It’s time for a break from the political realm.

Time to step back for a moment and remember that beauty, and reason for wonderment abound.  It’s all around us. Take for example, this lovely lady, Veronika Zemanova. The good Lord has blessed this young lass with beauty and talents galore. It is our duty to admire his handiwork.

That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it.

It’s come to this. Obama has exhausted all options short of apologetically bowing to Osama bin Laden  himself. (Oh, he did? Never mind.) So exhausted are our options he must now call on the only unused item in the arsenal and he’s chosen the blogosphere’s very own Smitty to wield it.

The Troglopundit honors Smitty with his own neolithic version of a send off. Careful following the link. Be sure to place any beverages on a flat surface. Wouldn’t want to ruin any keyboards.

No Runny Eggs has posted his own, along with Steve Burri and No Sheeples Here.

UPDATE: YankeePhil chimes in.

Woo Hoo! The holy grail has been found! Now where did I put it?

The Other McCain features the Robot today with the The Full Metal Jacket Reach-Around Award!

Welcome The Other McCain Readers!

Guess I should straighten things up around here. Just step right over those beer cans, I’ll get to those in a sec.

Thanks to you Stacy and Smitty or whoever it was I paid to rig the FMJRAA lottery. *nudge nudge*

—————————————-

Speaking of ToM losing their mind, Stacy McCain is unfortunately losing the services of an incredible mind, and all around nice guy for a while.

It may be fitting that Smitty makes his deployment announcement today, Veterans Day, as he prepares to ship off to warmer, sandier, more hostile places. He also takes the occasion to offer us some righteous motivation.

A small sample:

… Liberty ain’t cheap, and rejecting Progressivism may resemble pain for a while. That’s not pain. That’s Socialist weakness leaving the country, and don’t let these liars sell you otherwise.  Stand and deliver, the way a Progressive cannot, for, at heart, modern Progressivism is a synonym for cowardice.

Hear! Hear!

In saying see-ya-later, he requests:

If I’ve done you any favors, I’d ask that you make this the single most linked post in this blog’s history.

I’m all over that.

Get back to the states as quick as you can, Smitty. Here’s praying for your safe return.

And Sir Smitty, a word of advice: If you see the Grail Shaped Beacon, follow it. Face the peril!
