Some would like us to entertain the idea that Barack Hussein Obama is an idiot. ‘He is just inexperienced.’ ‘Give him a chance, he’ll get it right eventually,’ they might say. Or some would say there is a puppet-master lurking in an anteroom of the White House, feeding the teleprompter.

Some would say such things, and they might be right in most cases. But the larger truth is, there can be no doubt of Barack Hussein Obama’s motives. He despises America and everything it stands for. His actions reveal his plan even though his words leave you with whatever impression you want to take away from his convoluted double speak.

Even if someone or some other force is at work directing his actions, the actions and their consequences still lay at his feet.

A complicit media and congress have allowed him to do so much damage  to our constitution both through unconstitutional policy set by unelected appointees and passage of unjust, unconstitutional law, that it cannot be interpreted as anything but an attack on America.

I will offer a caveat though, lest someone say I’m being too harsh, let’s give credit where credit is due. While Obama is surely inexperienced at running a country; he’s doing a damn good job of running one into the ground.

I’ll also grant you this: the republicans and democrats alike have spent us into a hole of almost insurmountable debt over the last decades, weakening our resolve with ever increasing taxation while indoctrinating our people with their Utopian nightmare through the public schools and academia alike. However damaging that was, nothing compares to the onslaught of the socialistic, traitorous Democratic Party in charge of the legislature the past two years. It’s as if the last hundred years of failed social experimentation with the welfare state was just a set-up for the final blows to be administered by Obama, Pelosi and Reid and their collectivist, statist, sycophants.

“… a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty once lost is lost forever. When the People once surrender their share in the Legislature, and their Right of defending the Limitations upon the Government, and of resisting every Encroachment upon them, they can never regain it.“ John Adams, letter to wife Abigail 1775

A Constitutional Scholar vs. the Constitution:

Barack Hussein Obama and certain members of congress, with malice and forethought, are committing acts of treason in the process of ‘Fundamentally Transforming the United States of America.’

It is a fact that Obama and the university where he lectured labeled him a constitutional scholar. I would think that an expert on the constitution is intimately aware of the limitations placed on the federal government by the constitution and as such, Obama has violated his oath of office merely by signing the unconstitutional Obamacare into law because it so violates the right of a citizen with its intrusive nature and the individual mandate to purchase a product. The law is plainly outside the constitution’s limitation of the federal government’s lawful reach, not to mention the underhandedness that transpired in the passage through the American throat.

During the choke down of Obamacare, they repeatedly ignored the wishes of the majority, bribed the bill through congress in closed door meetings, stretched and broke the rules of the House and Senate to pass the bill and once passed and signed; they now continue to ignore federal judges who have ruled Obamacare unconstitutional and unenforceable by continuing to implement it!

As an example of his disdain for the rule of law and of his attack on the American economy, Obama ignored, and still ignores, a federal judge’s ruling to lift the Gulf of Mexico drilling moratorium, in place since the BP Oil spill causing many oil rigs to relocate to waters strangely friendly to Obama’s communist dictator friends such as Hugo Chaves. In fact, another judge ruled just last week and ordered the administration to resume issuing drilling permits.

I won’t be holding my breath.

Oh, and don’t even think about coal.

Obamacare is just a part of the plan.

Even if this man were an idiot, he could not have stumbled into the perfect storm of his dream for ever expanding, unfunded, entitlements, his war on America’s oil and energy industry and his war on the private sector of America. These are part of a larger plan. He told us during the campaign his plan was “The Fundamental Transformation of the United States of America” and he has proceeded to do just that.

How’s that transformation workin’ out for ya?

I contend that the latest $3.73 trillion budget proposal is more of the same. A continuation of the Cloward – Piven strategy aimed at burying the US in her own debt with the Federal Reserve playing right along by printing more money, monetizing our debt and alienating our allies, which also has the added benefit of producing the opposite effect: emboldening or enemies. Case in point: the Muslim Brotherhood’s current subversive dealings in the Middle East.

Neat how that works, isn’t it?

For the uninitiated: Cloward – Piven Strategy as summed up by David Horowitz:

The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

Are Obama and his ilk knowingly perpetrating acts of treason?

If Obama and the democrats are indeed maliciously orchestrating the collapse of our economy by placing increasingly overburdening demands on the system, and I believe they are, then they are in violation of their oaths to protect this country and are guilty of treason against our constitution and the citizens of this great nation.

TREASON

1. the offense of acting to overthrow one’s government or to harm or kill its sovereign.

2. a violation of allegiance to one’s sovereign or to one’s state.

3. the betrayal of a trust or confidence; breach of faith; treachery.

or, from the Legal Dictionary:

the offense of attempting to overthrow the government of one’s country or of assisting its enemies in war; specifically : the act of levying war against the United States or adhering to or giving aid and comfort to its enemies by one who owes it allegiance

TRAITOR

a person who is guilty of treason or treachery, in betraying friends, country, a cause or trust, etc.

I contend that the Obama administration has been knowingly and willfully ignoring the limitations placed on the federal government and thus have shattered their allegiance to the constitution they swore an oath to uphold.

The president’s oath of office reads:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

In my opinion Obama is, to the best of his ability, destroying, attacking, and assaulting the Constitution of the United States, exactly opposite of what he swore to do.

To those that would call me a conspiracy theorist I would counter with this: It doesn’t take a conspiracy when all the active parties are in accord with their ambitions and in this case, McCarthy was right! There were communists in our government and in fact, they are still there, only now, they’ve made it to the White House and a large part of the Legislature and have infiltrated most of the bureaucracy and are at this very moment systematically destroying the foundations of our republic!

A bloodless coup is still a coup.

Now that I’ve got the rant at least partially out of my system, lets, for the sake of clarity, examine some definitions of Treason as they apply in this case.

The U.S. Constitution, Article III, Section. 3.

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

Cloward-Piven Stategy as pointed out by James Simpson in his article for the American Thinker titled “Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis” is economic warfare designed to bring about a specific end: The Fundamental Transformation of the United States of America.

It cannot be interpreted as anything else.

TREASON

1. the offense of acting to overthrow one’s government or to harm or kill its sovereign.

Barack Hussein Obama, by employing the Cloward-Piven Stategy is, by definition, attempting to overthrow the government from the inside. To remake America into something it was never intended to be, in fact, to remake it into precisely the opposite of its original intent.

2. a violation of allegiance to one’s sovereign or to one’s state.

When Obama took the oath of office, he swore an oath to defend the Constitution and almost immediately afterward proceeded to ignore it and dismantle it. He has done so from the highest position of power in the land and therefore has violated his oath of allegiance to The United States and to protect the Constitution.

3. the betrayal of a trust or confidence; breach of faith; treachery.

Obama has betrayed the trust placed in him by the people of the United States through the office of the Presidency and has attempted to conceal the enormity of his malicious intent through the use of subterfuge and deceit with the aid of many in Congress and the media.

This is not just a clash of ideology.

Barack Hussein Obama and his comrades have committed, and continue to commit, treason against the United States of America in any and every definition of the word. There has never been a better example.

These crimes must be tried and, when found guilty; the offending parties must be punished. We must do this to dissuade future leaders from following their despicable example before these actions become the norm.

We must prosecute these criminals in order to reassert our rights as Americans, as a free people and as rulers of our own destiny.

*

Today, we celebrate the birth of the Father of our Country, who, at this very moment is spinning in his grave at jet engine speeds while the country he helped create is dismantled and spat upon from the seat he himself once occupied.

My sincere apologies, Mr. President, we have failed you and ourselves. We have failed to keep watch. We have let the dragon in the gate. Now we must battle him in our own front yard.

God help us all.

One doesn’t need to look far when searching for tangible results of Democrat social policy. As a matter of fact, you need only look to Detroit for a prime example of liberal social engineering and the destructive effect it has on a city. Once a thriving economy, Detroit has sadly become the poster child for “What Not to Do” when it comes to government, as Steve from Motor City Times tells us in this collection of posts documenting the once vibrant manufacturing center’s destruction by a government under 50 years of Liberal Democrat control.

Let’s not let this happen to America as a whole. Let’s learn the lessons of Detroit.

I’ve found a worthy writer and it’s time once again to play Name the Naked Author! This time, if you know the author’s name, go ahead and share it. No harm done because I will not declare the correct answer until Saturday.

Be sure to check out the highlighted text from James Madison at the beginning. I wonder if  Woodrow Wilson and FDR were privy to that little piece of enlightenment. I don’t have to wonder on the bunch inhabiting the brothel at the moment. They wouldn’t have paid attention.

As last time, leave your answer in the comments and remember the honor system. (No Google). After all, we’re not liberals.

Good Luck!

The celebration of our founders’ 1776 revolt against King George III and the English Parliament is over. Let’s reflect how the founders might judge today’s Americans and how today’s Americans might judge them.

In 1794, when Congress appropriated $15,000 to assist some French refugees, James Madison, the acknowledged father of our Constitution, stood on the floor of the House to object, saying, “I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.” He later added, “(T)he government of the United States is a definite government, confined to specified objects. It is not like the state governments, whose powers are more general. Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the government.” Two hundred years later, at least two-thirds of a multi-trillion-dollar federal budget is spent on charity or “objects of benevolence.”

What would the founders think about our respect for democracy and majority rule? Here’s what Thomas Jefferson said: “The majority, oppressing an individual, is guilty of a crime, abuses its strength, and by acting on the law of the strongest breaks up the foundations of society.” John Adams advised, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.” The founders envisioned a republican form of government, but as Benjamin Franklin warned, “When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.”

What would the founders think about the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2005 Kelo v. City of New London decision where the court sanctioned the taking of private property of one American to hand over to another American? John Adams explained: “The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. If ‘Thou shalt not covet’ and ‘Thou shalt not steal’ were not commandments of Heaven, they must be made inviolable precepts in every society before it can be civilized or made free.”

Thomas Jefferson counseled us not to worship the U.S. Supreme Court: “(T)he opinion which gives to the judges the right to decide what laws are constitutional and what not, not only for themselves in their own sphere of action but for the Legislature and Executive also in their spheres, would make the Judiciary a despotic branch.”

How might our founders have commented about last week’s U.S. Supreme Court’s decision upholding our rights to keep and bear arms? Justice Samuel Alito, in writing the majority opinion, said, “Individual self-defense is the central component of the Second Amendment.” The founders would have responded “Balderdash!” Jefferson said, “What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms.”

George Mason explained, “(T)o disarm the people (is) the best and most effectual way to enslave them.” Noah Webster elaborated: “Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed. … The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States. A military force, at the command of Congress, can execute no laws, but such as the people perceive to be just and constitutional; for they will possess the power, and jealousy will instantly inspire the inclination, to resist the execution of a law which appears to them unjust and oppressive.”

Contrary to Alito’s assertion, the central component of the Second Amendment is to protect ourselves from U.S. Congress, not street thugs.

Today’s Americans have contempt for our founders’ vision. I’m sure our founders would have contempt for ours.

Ten-Gallon Hat Tip to Keith-the-ineligible

The Background

In October of last year I embarked on a project, chronicling the US Constitution and the damage inflicted upon it from our federal government. The result at the time was a top twenty list, re-published below. I realize now, upon review, that I left out the 16th Amendment which established the Federal Income Tax and now have revised the list to include it, making it a Top 21 list. So be it.

In compiling the list, I assembled a spread sheet called the Timeline of US Constitutional Decline. I’ve since converted it to a stand alone page, sans any WordPress formatting, as I think that would make the reference harder to use.

The Proposal

What I have in mind is to offer the worksheet to you, with the request that as you use the reference, if you have written a piece on a given subject that would shed a defining light on it, or you know of a piece already written, to please let me know and I’ll review it, and include it in the next update of the comments column of the time-line. All you need to do is send me an email or leave a comment on this page with a link. (The new page is not interactive.)

Some might wonder why post the reference at all? The answer is, I just couldn’t let it languish in the bowels of my hard drive if someone else might find some use of it. If you have any other ideas, let’s hear them!

In closing, I hope you find it as useful in your quest for the true history of our great nation as I did, and still do.

You’ll find the link to the new page in the upper right, just below the masthead labeled “US Timeline”. The link to the new timeline is on that page along with the original post.

Cheers! ~ Robot

UPDATE: Link to timeline page fixed. Sorry ’bout that. Gremlins is my story, and I’m sticking to it. Thought I double checked those links. Now I gotta check the other page too.

UPDATE: The Austin TEA Party has a petition in support of the revisions here.

This in the mailbag today from Peter Morrison concerning the changes proposed to the new Texas schools curriculum. The SBOE has done some fine work and needs Texas conservatives to back up their recommendations. What follows is an explanation of those changes with links to the full texts and a fact sheet spelling out the proposals.

The Peter Morrison Report

It is extremely important that conservatives and patriots from around the state contact the Texas State Board of Education to voice support for the revisions that the SBOE made earlier this year to the Texas social studies textbook standards.

If you can, please take one of the following actions:

1. Sign up to testify before the State Board meeting in Austin.
Wednesday, May 19th will be a full day of public testimony before the SBOE. The signup to testify starts early on Friday, May 14th. Be sure to call the Texas Education Agency early on that morning at 512-463-9581 to make sure you get a spot to testify!

2. Contact the SBOE by sending them an email at sboesupport@tea.state.tx.us and let them know that you support the
revisions that have been made.

Right now, the SBOE is hearing from groups like the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), NAACP, Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), Texas Families of Incarcerated Youth, Sikh Coalition, U.T. Austin Department of History, Carrizo-Comecrudo Tribe of Texas, Hindu-American Foundation, Coalition for Educational Reform, Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission, and many other individuals.  They have been asked to include more minorities, more liberal groups, less about our Christian heritage, less about limited government, more about race and gender, and less about free markets and gun rights.

The SBOE has already heard from lots of liberals and liberal groups. They need to hear from conservatives as well!

Please either call 512-463-9581 and get a spot to testify or email the SBOE at:

sboesupport@tea.state.tx.us

The information below is from my SBOE representative, Barbara Cargill, one of the conservative members of the SBOE:

——————————————————————

This Fact Sheet clears up much of the misinformation from the media about the K-Grade 12 social studies standards.  Please feel free to share it.  Many of us on the State Board of Education (SBOE) will continue to work diligently for rigorous history standards that teach our children about their rich heritage and emphasize our country’s founding principles.  We want students to learn more about the Founding Fathers and patriot heroes of both our state and nation. Important leaders who were neglected previously have been added to the standards.  These include John Quincy Adams, John Hancock and John Wise.  And we have placed stronger emphasis on key historical documents such as the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. Students will learn the liberties and responsibilities guaranteed by each amendment in the Bill of Rights.

Here are examples of some of the outstanding standards that have passed so far:

American History:
-The student understands the concept of American exceptionalism.
-Describe how American values are different and unique from those of other nations;
-Describe U. S. citizens as people from numerous places throughout the world, who hold a common bond in standing for certain self-evident truths.
-Discuss the meaning and historical significance of the mottos “E Pluribus Unum” and “In God We Trust.”

U.S. Government:
-Analyze selected issues raised by judicial activism and judicial restraint.

Grades 1-3: (with the word “equality” added in Grades 2-3)
-Identify characteristics of good citizenship including truthfulness, respect for others and oneself, responsibility in daily life, and participation in government by educating oneself about the issues, holding public officials to their word, and voting.

Grade 6:
-Understand the importance of morality and ethics in maintaining a functional free enterprise system.

Grade 8:
-Describe how religion and virtue contributed to the growth of representative government in the American colonies.

Over the last few months, the SBOE has heard testimony from people representing League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), NAACP, Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), Texas Families of Incarcerated Youth, Sikh Coalition, U.T. Austin Department of History, Carrizo-Comecrudo Tribe of Texas, Hindu-American Foundation, Coalition for Educational Reform, Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission, and many other individuals.  We have been asked to include more minorities, more liberal groups, less about our Judeo-Christian heritage, less about limited government, more about race and gender, and less about free markets and gun rights.

The final vote is on May 21st.  The conservatives on the SBOE need help from patriots across the state to ensure that the revisions we have made to the standards are upheld.  On Wednesday, May 19th we will have a full day of public testimony.  People from many of the same organizations listed above will be back to speak to the SBOE.
Please use this opportunity to come and address the Board yourself!
Signing up to testify for the May 19th State Board meeting begins on Friday, May 14th.  Please call the Texas Education Agency early at 512-463-9581.

If coming to Austin is not an option, let your voice be heard by e-mailing sboesupport@tea.state.tx.us.
The proposed social studies standards are posted at

http://www.tea.state.tx.us/index2.aspx?id=3643.

Charts that list the historical figures in the social studies standards are posted on that same page for verification of information.  Please take a look at the standards for yourself and do not rely on what the media says.  The Fact Sheet is pasted below for your convenience.

Thank you for your encouraging messages and for your support about this important issue.

State Board of Education
Social Studies TEKS Fact Sheet

A. FALSE ALLEGATION: The State Board of Education is not listening
to educators and experts and as such the SBOE should send the
social studies standards back to the original review committees.

FACT:  The Social Studies TEKS review committees and some
history experts made some revisions that were unsupportable, and
the State Board of Education had to direct changes or vote to
return to the original content.

Christmas, Neil Armstrong, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein,
religious heritage language, Independence Day, Veterans Day and
Christopher Columbus were either removed completely or partially
from several grade levels by the review committees. The State Board
of Education members have assured concerned members of the public
that these historical figures and important concepts were placed
back in the standards where they had been taught for the previous
10 years. This action was based on the urging and feedback from
numerous educators, experts and concerned members of the public.
One “historian” even suggested Alexander Graham Bell and the Texas
Rangers should be removed from Texas social studies standards. This
recommendation was not adopted.

B. FALSE ALLEGATION: The State Board of Education is making
decisions on its own and not listening to educators.

FACT:  Numerous educators urged the State Board of Education
to teach students accurately about the country’s religious heritage
and American Exceptionalism.

The State Board of Education voted to include requirements that
students study about America ‘s religious heritage and American
Exceptionalism.

C. FALSE ALLEGATION: The State Board of Education is deleting
minority figures from the social studies curriculum.

FACT: The proposed Social Studies TEKS include more minority
representation than ever before.

Among the many individuals who have been added to the standards are
Crispus Attucks, Jose Bernardo Guillermo de Lara, Alvar Nunez
Cabeza de Vaca, Wentworth Cheswell, Francisco Coronado, Bernardo de
Galvez, Juan de Onate, Adina de Zavala, Enrique Esparza, W.E.B.
DuBois, Carmen Lomas Garza, Henry B. Gonzalez, Raul A. Gonzalez,
Maria Mitchell, Ellen Ochoa, Jose Antonio Navaro, Irma Rangel, Juan
Seguin, Erasmo Seguin, Phillis Wheatley, Lulu Belle White, Diane
Gonzales Bertrand, Simon Bolivar, Bessie Coleman, Tomie de Paola,
Marcus Garvey, Lydia Mendoza, Kadir Nelson, Danny Olivas, Raymond
Telles and Amado Pena Jr.
