FDA Boot up the Small Farmers’ A$$ Act of 2010

I posted a link yesterday urging people to call their Senators to support an amendment to the new FDA expansion being crammed through the lame duck congress at the moment. Whilst I’m waxing wishful, how’s about instead of modifying that POS legislation, we urge them to scrap it completely. I think we’ve seen what the current power hungry mongrels infesting the House and Senate are capable of. I don’t think I want any more of the like, thank you very much. No.

On the same lame subject, this morning’s Heritage Foundation Morning Bell cites some disturbing numbers which, combined with the recent Wall Street legislation, ObamaCare, QE2, Bailouts and reckless spending by the Democraps amount to nothing more than a Cloward/Piven-Alinski-Obama Trifecta of assault on our way of life.
So just how big an expansion of government does Dingell, Pelosi, and Reid want to inflict on the American people to combat a non-existent food safety crisis? Well, the Congressional Budget Office estimates that the legislation would require 50,000 domestic and foreign inspections in 2015, compared to just 7,400 in 2009. That is a sevenfold increase in government inspections. And the government would be reaching into a lot of new places as well. The act requires that all food “facilities”—including those home-based businesses that make jam, bread, and cheese for local markets—would be required to undertake periodic hazard analyses and produce “risk-based preventive controls.”

Did Harry Reid steal the Nevada election from Sharron Angle?
This may be one instance where George Soros’ Secretary of State Project worked as planned.

[Secretary of State Ross] Miller is a life-long partisan Democrat operative in the state, the legacy son of former Democratic governor Bob Miller. He interned in the Clinton White House after obtaining a law degree from Loyola Marymount University. At age 30 he is also the youngest Secretary of State in Nevada’s history and apparently in way over his head.None of that would matter if he would only take an active role in voter fraud claims by Republicans, but instead Miller appears to be hiding behind his own bureaucracy.
Despite these widespread reports in the news about Nevada voting machines miraculously selecting Harry Reid’s name in a case of divine intervention, Miller’s response to the explosive Nevada election fraud allegations is that nobody bothered to file a formal complaint with the election’s division so he is not going to investigate it! He seems offended that a resident would instead take her case to the news media. Miller knows, of course, that pretty much nobody knows how to file election fraud complaints in a state. The voters are doing the natural thing by talking to the media.
The allegations of voter fraud, tampering and intimidation by Harry Reid’s campaign continue to pile up. So strange was Reid’s comeback after early voting showed a GOP advantage, The Christian Science Monitor labeled his victory a Houdini act.
This robot is absolutely *blsht* positive that the Senator did everything within his *hack* power to keep his staffers and his son, Rory Reid, who is the *crrpt* Clarke County Commissioner where the vote stealing allegations took place, on the straight and *ahem* narrow, but the questions remain and accumulate, unanswered.
Strange: Election night, an as yet unexplained power outage occurred at one Las Vegas polling location. How convenient.
Side note: Also in question to me is the timing of Obama’s highly overrated, exorbitantly expensive, overseas trip in the wake of this election. Could it possibly be a bit of distraction from the possibility of voter fraud? The three-card-monte is always in play, it seems, with these people.
In another article, Elizabeth Crum, reporting for the National Review Online unearthed “disturbing” evidence of “collusion,” coercion and harassment of Harrah’s employees to conjure votes for embattled Senator Reid against the TEA Party candidate Sharron Angle. (H/T Am-Pow)
The accusations stem from a series of emails and spreadsheets that NRO obtained which offer damning evidence against Harry Reid’s staff, and possibly point to Reid’s personal involvement in the scandal, with some in Harrah’s upper management being willing accomplices to the stealing of the election through voter/employee intimidation.
Reports Crum:
The stepped-up effort began Wednesday when a Reid staffer sent an email pleading for help to Harrah’s top lobbyist, Jan Jones. Soon after, Marybel Batjer, Harrah’s vice president of public policy and communications, distributed that plea via email to executives throughout the company.
Later in the article, the employee who forwarded the emails said:
“We were asked to talk to people individually to find out why they had not yet voted and to fill in these spreadsheets explaining why,” the employee said. “I did not feel comfortable doing that.”
“It put me in a very awkward position,” the employee added, saying the level of coordination between Harrah’s upper management, the culinary union, and the Reid campaign was “disgusting.”
A spokesman with the Federal Election Commission declined to comment on the case, but encourages anyone who feels that an election-law violation has occurred to file a complaint with the commission.
I wonder how many complaints have been filed already.

Here’s hoping someone with enough power to combat the Reid machine can get to the bottom of these serious anti-American accusations. One thing’s for sure, Eric Holder and the Federal justice system are going to turn a blind eye unless more evidence surfaces.

Wilmington, DE – An Election Eve television outreach by Delaware Republican Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell was not aired as scheduled, even though the campaign paid for the advertising last week. O’Donnell campaign spokesman Doug Sachtleben offered the following statement:
“It’s still unclear as to why the local cable channel failed to air the half-hour long special. Our hope is that this is not another case of the liberal media or political dirty tricks trying to silence Christine’s message to the voters of Delaware.
“Christine announced the broadcast during yesterday’s rally in Wilmington, and it was scheduled to run at 11:30 p.m. Sunday and again at 10 a.m. today. But, the channel did not air the powerful ad at either scheduled time. We are very disappointed that an ad, which the campaign paid for last week, was not aired as scheduled.”

Democrats Still Drooling Over Your 401(k)

Here we go again.
That paragon of economic virtue, Teresa Ghilarducci has surfaced once more to expound the benefits of the government taking over seizing confiscating stealing your 401k “for your own good.” I wrote about this little banshee back in May, after O’biden made a slip of the tongue with regard to their plans for redistributing your retirement nest egg. Now, it appears she has been gaining ground with her arguments because, as Doug Ross points out, it’s not off the table. In fact, your 401k may be part of the main course for the upcoming lame duck session of Congress.
Doug writes:
…I am not a conspiracy theorist. But I can put two and two together. Earlier this evening Papa B pointed me to an oozing secretion from the Puffington Roast, which markets the idea that 401(k) retirement savings accounts are evil and should be abolished.
He goes on to detail Mzzz. Ghilarducci’s well laid plans to confiscate your dough.
Guilarducci and the Democrats are advocating legalized theft of the juicy trillions of dollars Americans have saved in their retirement plans. Nationalizing those accounts would support massive new spending programs plus payoff the unions and crony capitalists looking for more bailouts at the “workers’” expense.

I also find it worth noting that:
Mz. Ghilarducci was named by US News and World report as the Most Dangerous Woman in America back in 2008. It appears they may have been on to something.
And, Mz. Ghilarducci “at times” has been a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, a fact noted in their National Political Committee meeting minutes of Sept. 28-29, 2009 as being considered for Vice Chair. – Thanks Wikipidia.
Keep your eyes peeled, folks. They’re not done by a long shot.

The next featured blog has been a favorite of mine since before the Robot was a stray synapse in my tin-clad head. Like many of you, I admire Pundit & Pundette’s style, straight forward nature and spot-on commentary. To me, it reads less like a blog than a news site with a bit of a smirk. Perusing P & P, I feel like I’m perhaps sitting at an outdoor cafe, discussing the day’s events over coffee with some snarky friends.
An excerpt from “TIME columnist admits we were right about Obama”
Mark Halperin of TIME magazine can just barely make out the real Barack Obama from his house:
With the exception of core Obama Administration loyalists, most politically engaged elites have reached the same conclusions: the White House is in over its head, isolated, insular, arrogant and clueless about how to get along with or persuade members of Congress, the media, the business community or working-class voters… [snip]
Isolated, insular, arrogant, and clueless. Well, that’s a start. Let’s not forget narcissistic, thin-skinned, unscrupulous, polarizing, and socialist.
Whoa. Don’t hold back there, Jill. How do you really feel?
All kidding aside, I agree with her assessment one-thousand percent. I also happen to like the way she gets her point across. Like this morning’s post:
Are we talking about the President of the United States or Justin Bieber? I was going to ask whatever happened to the dignity of the office, but then I remembered Bill Clinton.
And I was going to ask if Bill Clinton was aware of his punching-bag status, but then I remembered he’s married to Hillary.
Wait, did I just steal an analogy method from Jill?
Yes I did.
Imitation is, after all, the highest form of flattery.
We can also be thankful that Pundette keeps people like Virginia Ironside front and center. Is Mzzz. Ironside the type of person who would presume to sit on the Obamacare health care panels and decide whether or not we get medical treatment? If you answered no, you should take a deeper look into Obama’s Cabinet appointments. This is what passes for compassion in those “educated” circles:
[Ironside]: ‘If a baby’s going to be born severely disabled or totally unwanted, surely an abortion is the act of a loving mother.’
[Pundette]: It’s a cold, cold arrogance which, after a look into the future, considers the following issues for others and decides on the death sentence:
Does your life have intrinsic value? No.
Because you may suffer for years, should you desire to continue living? No.
Is your death preferable to X amount of suffering, as perceived by me? Yes.
Can suffering have redeeming value for the sufferer? No.And let’s not pretend that the advice columnist’s “good mother” doesn’t have a conflict of interest. Her own suffering, that ultimate evil in Ironside’s world, is surely part of the equation as she ponders the destruction of her child.
Jill then adds a “palate cleanser” and some further background on the “loving mother.” The entire article begs for your attention.
She can also spot a great quote when she sees one.
When it comes to school reform, I’m with John Derbyshire:
Here is my prescription for a reform of the nation’s education system. First, destroy all the schools. Cart away the rubble for landfill and sow the ground with salt. Abolish the federal Department of Education and all state equivalents. End all education funding from public sources.
Pundit and Pundette is a site that has proved it’s worth time and time again in the realm of analysis, commentary and aggregation of news from across the political spectrum. It’s written with a style that feels like home cooking and I love the smell of freshly brewed snark in the morning…

1000 Progressives in State Governments

Our American society has never seen the level of corruption in evidence today. It’s as if some mind controlling parasites have infested and infiltrated every nook and cranny of our system. The deeper you go down the proverbial rabbit hole, the more tentacles you find. Across borders, oceans and economic systems it reaches to control your every movement and very existence. As an example, if you were to expound and expand on Obama, Pelosi and Reid’s new healthcare plan, they would wish to grant or deny even your right to exist, as evidenced by our federal government’s obsession with killing babies. Do any of you trust your government to the point of giving them control, Chairman Mao like, over the number of children you can have? Rest assured that a government that funds elective abortions of its citizens would jump at the chance to dictate your ability to procreate at all. That type of tyranny is one that would grant such rights by your political party affiliation or what amount of tribute you bring to their throne.
If you believe, as I do, that the Progressive/Socialist/Communist agenda is at its heart, an evil one, then you must also conclude that this movement must be stopped.
Enter the Progressive States Network. Ever heard of them?
The PSN is a network of Progressive organizations that share Obama’s goal of the “fundamental transformation of America.”
I’ve seen what that transformation looks like and I don’t like it.
How does it work?
Their plan is to introduce Progressive/Socialist legislation at the State and local levels in order to gain a foothold on those issues at the national level both in the media and in the federal legislature. In the process, they are grooming candidates for national office.

Lately, we bloggers have been focused on the national elections in our attempts to reclaim and restore our Constitutional Republic. The people who belong to the Progressive States Network are working against that goal at all levels.
Examples of the upwards activism the PSN pursues are their letters to Obama from our State legislators:
Supporting Federal Health Care Reform
State Legislators for Progressive Immigration Policy
Create Jobs, Give States Fiscal Relief
All three of these would sound innocuous to the normal Americans, but in reality, they are letters demanding that the Federal government become more involved in the States’ activities and our personal lives at a time when we need less Federal involvement in anything State or personal, with the exception of sealing the border.
From the “Jobs” letter:
…Accordingly, the federal government must take proactive steps to create jobs and enact further fiscal relief for state and local governments. This includes extending FMAP increases for Medicaid, providing additional support for education, boosting funding for infrastructure projects and public transportation investments, supporting the long-term unemployed to sustain them until they reenter the workforce, and providing direct financial assistance to state and local governments to perform the vital services needed to maintain growth in local communities across the nation…
Signing on to the “Jobs” letter from Texas are:
- Rep. Garnet Coleman (TX-147) Co-chairman of the PSN Board of Directors. Garnet was quoted recently on the Marxist emag Political Affairs. Sadly, Rep. Coleman is unopposed.
- Sen. Rodney Ellis (TX-13) Opponent: Michael Mauldin
- Rep. Jessica Farrar (TX-148) Opponent: Fernando Herrera
- Rep. Eddie Rodriguez (TX-51) Opponent: Marilyn Jackson
Nowhere in that letter is any mention of tax cuts or pro-business incentives for job creation, unless you count their concern for the loss of jobs in government and social services.
Government has grown too large as it is! The people who would fight for more government and social programs over actual private enterprise and real economic growth must be ousted from office at every level of government, Federal, State and local. Failure to do so, is to leave a bit of cancer in the infected host.
Those wanting to increase government dependents have been drafting recruits while we worker bees have been busy paying for their campaign through taxes for years and recently, stimulus packages re-routed to ACORN type organizations. Obama type community organizers have been training Progressive recruits how to “help moderate members of Congress” by framing Progressive issues in “palatable” ways.

Progressives are Socialists are Communists and are by definition anti-American. It’s past time everyone was made aware of their existence and agenda.
I would encourage bloggers to research these letters and the people who signed them. Find their opponents and support them. Post them in lists by state on your blogs along with their opponents.

This weekend, I plan to create a new blog page similar to the Texas 11 that, beginning with Texas, will contain a list of the State Senators and Representatives who align themselves with the PSN, along with their opposing candidates if available.
The title of that page will be Socia.list.

UPDATE: Beck produced this video in response to the smear tactics the left uses against Conservative candidates they are scared of such as Christine O’Donnell. They are using an off the cuff admission from Christine that she dabbled in witchcraft while a teenager in high school. Hmmm.
And now the Wiccans are getting their feelings hurt! How does that happen?
Wasn’t Mrs. Obummer introduced by a Wiccan at a fund raiser this weekend? Maybe O’Donnell should court the Wiccan vote a little more closely. ~ Nah.

Viva Le Belvedere!

My friend in the ether and co-conspirator in the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, General Robert “Bob” Belvedere, has penned a response to Brent Bozell’s claim that we conservatives are The Revolutionaries.
To paraphrase: “Au Contraire” says the Belvedere, “The revolutionaries occupy the White House and have their butts firmly planted in many seats of our houses of Congress. Butts that one January day in the near future will be thrown out of those seats.”
All we seek is a restoration of those unalienable rights that we are endowed with by our Creator and that are codified in the freedoms and liberties bequeathed to us by The Founding Fathers in The Constitution Of The United States Of America.
Conservatism is not revolutionary. It is, in fact, quite the opposite. By definition conservatism seeks to preserve tradition and tried and true methods that have proven worthy of merit.
A restoration is exactly what we seek.
Sometimes one person or group’s definition of progress is not desirable. For instance, why on earth would America want to run headlong into Communism or Socialism, when the rest of the world is running away from those political, social and economic policies? They obviously don’t work and yet we have the numb skulls in office, on both sides of the aisle, clamoring for the Keynesian policies that, if left unchecked, will eventually enslave our entire population!
I say we need a thorough delousing of Congress.

The MSM: A New Definition

I love it when someone points out the obvious. Especially when they do it in an entertaining way. And when they can thumb their nose at the government run media while doing it, hey, it’s a bonus! That’s why I’m glad to see that our resident cave-man blogger has decided to do just that with regard to what I like to call the other MSM, the Muslim Silent Majority. Well, to be truthful, I just thought of it, but it does fit the description, doesn’t it?
The question is, just where are the peace loving Muslims who oppose any violence in the name of Islam? The Troglopundit has a few well thought out suggestions for both MSM’s.
Here’s the thing: I think it really is a small minority of Muslims who want to strap explosives on and pull the cord in the middle of a crowd of soldiers (shoppers, diners, schoolchildren) for Allah. I think that small minority is giving the rest of Islam a bad rap.
I have no evidence to back me up. In fact, the very fact that the MSM isn’t pushing a “peaceful Muslims criticizing violent Muslims” storyline would seem to contradict me. If there were anything there – anything at all – the MSM would be all over it, if only to prove that Americans are jingoistic ignoramuses.
But. If I’m right, why the hell don’t all the other Muslims – the non-murderous types – stand up and tell their more violent brethren to sit down and shut up?
Hear! Hear!
I would love to see these people who proclaim peace begin pointing their fingers at the radicals causing all the intolerant trouble, but that’s the problem with tolerance, how far does one take it? If I am tolerant of ones misdeeds to the point of becoming an accomplice to illegal activity and violence, I become as guilty as if I had committed the act myself. In other words, if you look on and do nothing when you see evil being perpetrated, you have the onus of that evil upon you as much a the evil doer.
Someone who can rationalize that sort of turn-your-head attitude with regard to people of their own religion, but judge someone else by some supposed higher standard has twisted reason and justice to the point of being unrecognizable and deserves no tolerance at all in my book. Nor will they receive any from this robot.
I can barely write abut these issues without the veins in the side of my neck protruding in a throbbing fashion. Much to his credit, Lance takes a much calmer approach. I would encourage you to see for yourself.
