Old school ZZ Top tunes for a New Years Eve…

Y’all have a happy and safe one!

Over the Christmas holidays I had to stop mid-conversation for fear of exciting a close family member. He’s a lifelong Democrat and there is no hope for saving him from that ailment. He also has heart trouble and tends to get overly excited if you disagree about things political so, I don’t talk about it much over there. Not that politics isn’t discussed at his house, it is. It’s just a one sided conversation and I usually have bite marks on my tongue before I leave. Such is the life of a robot.

I dropped out of the aforementioned conversation when I heard this from another family member:

I’m against Obama but when I see the Republicans giving tax breaks to the rich I just don’t think I can support them either.

This seems to be the mindset of a lot of people who cling to the Democrat or Independent label, and it’s an illogical mind twister. This is the type convoluted thinking that Statists like Obama want to promote and what we Conservatives/Restorationists should strive to overcome.

Now, let’s examine that sentence. When you say “I’m against Obama” are you against everything Obama does? Since you’re not here to answer that, let’s say for the sake of brevity and hopefulness that you are.

So that brings us to the other half of the sentence, “Republicans giving tax breaks to the rich”. This has class envy written all over it. It also tells me you’ve been buying into at least some of the Obamedia rhetoric.

First off, the term “giving” is misused here. It says that it’s the government’s money to give. It is not. It also implies that you accept the flawed premise that the rich don’t pay their fair share of taxes.  What is most disturbing to me is the lack of understanding of the God given right to personal property. When you shift ownership of property from the individual to the government, it soon devolves into tyranny.

John Adams said:

The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence.

We have been on that road for a while now. It is time to stop.

Assuming everything the federal government does is *cough* worthwhile: military, infrastructure, postal service, social programs, and so-on, let’s focus on who pays Federal Income Tax and how much, as a percentage of the total. (You can find the dollar amounts by clicking the links.)

Who pays taxes?

According to Scott A. Hodge, President of the Tax Foundation, a nonpartisan tax research group based in Washington, D.C., there were nearly 142 million Americans filing tax returns in 2009, roughly half the population.

Who doesn’t pay taxes?

There were 42.5 million, or 32.4% of filers in 2004 that didn’t pay taxes, which was up from an average of 22% for the previous 5 decades.

Contrast that with 2008, under a Republican President and a Democrat controlled congress:

Two Records Set in 2008: Most Nonpayers and Highest-Earning Nonpayers
Nonpaying status used to be a sure sign of poverty or near-poverty, but Congress and the President have changed the tax laws to pull much of the middle class into the growing pool of nonpayers. The income level at which a typical family of four will owe no income taxes has risen rapidly, now topping $51,000.

As a result, recently released IRS data for the 2008 tax year show that a record 51.6 million filers had no income tax obligation.[1] That means more than 36 percent of all Americans who filed a tax return for 2008 were nonpayers, raising serious doubts about the ability of the income tax system to continue funding the federal government’s ballooning expenditures.

Who pays the most?

The top 1% of taxpayers has the largest burden. In 2008, those filers carried 38% of the total tax income and that percentage is consistent with past results. One problem as I see it, and as noted in the quote above, is the shifting demographics.

Who pays the least?

The bottom 50% of taxpayers pays the least or 2.7% of the total income tax accumulated, which is down from a 1999 figure of 4%. That’s half of the filers paying little or next to nothing. I’d say that this one statistic is enough to warrant a flat tax, that is, if I wasn’t against the Federal Income Tax altogether, but if we’re going to have one. Make it a flat consumption tax.

Who gets a subsidy?

What? A Subsidy!?

Yes. An interesting reminder came out of my reading for this post. I had forgotten that under President Bush (Progressive, but not as bad as Obama by a long shot), the IRS was given new responsibilities: encouraging poverty.

In a nutshell, single mothers under a certain income threshold get a subsidy for each child. We are paying poor folks to have babies!

Our benevolent benefactors might as well open up an ‘Uncle Sammie’s Home for Wayward Wimmin’ on a corner in every major metropolitan city for cryin’ out loud!

Government funded charity distributed through the welfare system hasn’t been replaced; it’s been expanded and enhanced! We now offer subsidies to people to breed more poverty. Yea! Keep in mind, this doesn’t include food stamps, social programs etc., which are funded from the Social Security system and are also expanded due to the greater need now that there are more poor babies being born (see how that works?), we are talking about the IRS being used as a redistributive tool.

Again, from Scott A. Hodge and the Tax Foundation:

Of the 42.5 million tax returns that pay no income taxes, 52.9 percent [‘bot - 22.5m] received some form of a refundable credit – either the EITC or the child tax credit. In 2004, Uncle Sam paid out about $33 billion in “refundable” checks to the families and single individuals who qualified for the Earned Income Credit and another $9 billion to families who were eligible for the child credit.

Broadly speaking, the 42.5 million zero-tax filers are: low-income, young, female-headed households, part-time workers, and beneficiaries of the $1,000 per-child tax credit or the Earned Income Credit.

And the situation isn’t improving:

In 2008, 25 million tax filers received $51.6 billion in EITC benefits. Of this amount, $50.5 billion was refundable in excess of their income tax liability. Also in 2008, some 25.3 million filers received $30.7 billion in child tax credit benefits, with more than 18 million of these filers getting $20.5 billion in refundable checks. Many families are eligible for both the EITC and the child credit. These are not refunds of overpaid tax; they are payments to people who have already gotten back everything that was withheld from their paychecks during the year.

What’s the solution?

Less government. Duh! Reign in the social spending. We can no longer afford (and never could afford), to offer government charity using the IRS or any social program to re-distribute our money/property. It is killing our nation and promoting a mindset of entitlements that is bankrupting and destroying our society. We are squashing people’s will to achieve and succeed by taking from those who will work and giving to those who will not. It is our duty, out of compassion for them and our working countrymen to cease these destructive social programs by systematically phasing them out.

How?

Continue the commitments we have made thus far, but put a dead end date on them. We need to elect like minded Conservative/Restorationist politicians who understand these things and will fight to get these destructive policies reformed and repealed.

I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I traveled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.

~ Benjamin Franklin

November was just the beginning. We have to fight ever harder to retake our country from the hands of the Statists. If we do not, well, that alternative is the worst imaginable for the individual, for America and for the world.

Addendum: I understand this is only one part of a larger, multifaceted problem of high taxes and excessive government spending on all fronts. I only bring it up to refute what the media and the Statists want to program you with through sheer repetition.

Some say, and I agree, that the spending comes before the taxes as a method to justify more taxation.  It’s the spending, stupid! Yes.

Therefore, a real, measurable and verifiable shift in thinking and action by our lawmakers needs to occur to stop the downward slide or our country. The only way to accomplish this is through education and activism. A majority of the voters need to make that same shift in their thinking with respect to private property. Our personal property and our earnings should be sacrosanct, untouchable by the Federal monster unless a last resort. Unfortunately, this is not the case.

Some, like my family member have given up, thrown up their hands and said, “There’s nothing we can do. We can’t change Washington, so why bother?”

To him and them I say, look at what you, your children and your grandchildren lose if you don’t! Yours and their freedom, or what’s left of it, that’s what.

Will you sell them into slavery by ignorance and inaction?

You already know my answer.

It’s well beyond time to answer for yourself and your family.

Happy New Year, Comrades!

A couple of stories struck me this morning as belonging in the “Laws for thee, but not for me” category. So, here they are along with a couple more that fit the criteria.

Beaumont, TX 12/29/10

Beaumont Police Lieutenant given pretrial diversion(?) for DWI charge in lieu of actual punishment. The article quotes Jasper County DA as saying pretrial diversions are granted all the time or as he put it, regularly. Yea, real common. Any of you commoners familiar with the term? They say it’s like deferred adjudication, but without the trial. The Beaumont Enterprise headline states the charges were dismissed. If it would have been one of us common folk, I have to ponder on what kind of diversion we would have been offered.

Back in March, a spokeswoman for MADD said she was pleased with the way the case was being handled.

I wonder what she says now.

Hartley Co. TX 12/28/10

Colorado lawmaker in wreck that kills pregnant Texan.

The lawmaker reportedly said:

“It’s a tragedy that I now have a personal experience with a highway accident,” Williams told the television station by phone from Texas. “It’s been very traumatic.”

Umm, yes. Tragic. Traumatic. Especially for the lady who died and the baby that may not make it and the husband and children left behind.

Austin, TX

In October 2010, Texas State Rep. Eddie Rodriguez had his DUI charges dropped after a court ruled the officer had insufficient reason to pull him over in the first place. Sweet! I’ll file that one away for future use. I’m sure it will work for little ol’ me.

I may add on later, if time permits.

Merry Christmas, my friends and reader. May God bless you all.

‘Twas the night before Christmas, and through the White House,

Not a creature was stirring, no Obama mouse.

A steel plate was mounted, blocking the hearth.

There be no Christmas spirit, here in their hearts.

The children were nestled, all smug in their beds.

While Utopian visions clouded their heads,

And Michelle in her boob belt, had set a trap.

If Saint Nick dare land here, he’d never come back,

When on the south lawn, there arose such a clatter,

The trap had been sprung! Now Christmas was over!

Yippie Kai Yea! She screamed with such laughter.

If the fat man’s not dead, then I’ll be his master!

I went to my window and threw open the sash,

In time to see delivered, the very first lash.

Swear to me Kringle, you’ll give no more candy,

And sing no more carols that we did not hand ye.

No toys shall be given without gubment approval,

They’ll be from China, Taiwan and communal.

We shan’t put up with your cheeriness either,

Now kneel down to grovel and beg for your life, sir.

I cannot do such things that you say,

You might as well bury me with reindeer and sleigh.

My life is to give for the children, you see,

Not bend to the will of your bureaucracy.

For even if, I could do as you say,

I would never, never, ever have it that way.

You seek to manage each little decision,

Why not leave such things to the singular person?

The living of life is the freedom of choice,

It’s what God intended, as we each have a voice.

To dictate to people what you’d have them do

Just kills innovation and charity too.

I’m begging ye ma’am, for the common folk,

Not for myself, you must turn loose this yolk.

If’n ye did, you’d be so much happier,

You might even enjoy to listen on laughter.

For you and Obama are God’s chosen ones

It is not chance you sit on those thrones.

Perhaps it’s to teach you a little humility,

And to govern much less, and lead with civility.

How dare ye Chris Kringle speak such to me!

As I’ve caught you myself and will not set you free!

My bidding you’ll do and there’ll be no debate,

Or buried you’ll be with those reindeer I hate.

What’ll it be mister fat man of flight?

Will you consent to slav’ry tonight?

Nay. Nay my dame. My answer is naught.

My life is all servitude, but never at cost.

Away to the dungeon! She commanded her minions,

He and his sleigh and reindeer and elflings!

I’ll see you in time, my fat man of frolic.

You think on these things as your deer get the colic.

She retired to the state house as they took Santa away,

With a wry backward glance at the fat man in chains.

The next morning she woke from a frightful dream.

Saint Nick had broke free and was not to be seen.

She ran to the dungeon, where they’d taken the bastard,

Only to find that the cell had been shattered!

With the light of the morning almost coming through,

Outside she ran to see what to do.

Off in the distance, the sleigh bells were ringing,

With a Ho Ho Ho Ho, she could just hear him singing.

One can’t imprison Christmas, she’d learned the hard way,

Much like our Messiah, who just will not stay.

The spirit of Christmas won’t remain in a cell,

It lives in our hearts, and our souls as well.

It’s the spirit of giving as the Christ gave His life.

That He died for our sins was His sacrifice.

The sleigh bells waned and Michelle retired,

As Santa flew home and the morning grew brighter,

Singing his carol and reminding us all

To listen with our hearts, to heed the call,

To live like the Savior, and love one another,

Every mother and father, and sister and brother.

From those crazy, adorable, miscreants at iOwnTheWorld.

Still one of my favorites.

No.

Isn’t that special. Guess they don’t read the Robot. Or maybe they do and don’t like what they see. Which leads to the conclusion:

FCC Hates Beautiful Women!       Save Rule 5 from FCC!

Robert M. McDowell, writing for the Wall Street Journal has more:

Tomorrow morning the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will mark the winter solstice by taking an unprecedented step to expand government’s reach into the Internet by attempting to regulate its inner workings. In doing so, the agency will circumvent Congress and disregard a recent court ruling.

This is flat out unconstitutional. Once again, the Obama regime attempts to exert more control on free speech, internet access and beautiful girls. What is the world coming to?

The bailouts and takeovers were just the start of it all.

Obamacare’s death panels will decide who lives and dies according to some unknown standard of faceless nameless bureaucrats and pencil pushers who will have access to your credit, voting and video rental records.

We are supposed to be OK with a Ground Zero Mosque while they tell us to not celebrate Christmas.

Government has ruined the Gulf’s oil production and increased foreign access to the same waters.

The Food bill will put the FDA and the EPA in your backyard garden.

And to top it all off, after DADT is repealed, military recruitment will be decimated.

Why not just bow to our enemies and invite an attack? Oh. Yea, too late.

My friends, this lame duck congress and out of control administration are over the top with their sequestering of our rights and their undermining of our country and way of life. It’s insidious.  The little nibbles and nips we have felt over the years were but a taste teaser leading to the gluttonous feast we experience and witness now.

We, the American People, must take the unprecedented step to issue a decree or petition of No Confidence in Obama and the Congress as it stands. (Is that possible? I don’t know. Couldn’t hurt to try it.)

Obama, Congress and all federal agencies must cease and desist all activity with regard to legislation and the drafting of new regulations until the new Congress is sworn in. And next year, if the new blood doesn’t turn the tide, woe be unto them, for the new decree will be a new election as soon as humanly possible, using paper ballots and a thorough ouster of all Senators and Representatives. Every last one. Start over. Clean slate. Restore and repair and repeal the amendments to the Constitution back to 1890 when the Communists began their treachery. McCarthy was right!

What else is there to do if we are to save the republic?

I know, I started off trying to be light-hearted about the net neutrality thing, but I can’t. I even made a new header and all attempting to get in the Christmas spirit. Believe me when I say, I know who wins in the long run. He is risen and shall come again. Jesus is the reason for the season. I know.

It just breaks my heart to see our country go down without so much as a whimper with these guys at the helm and a bunch of smarmy Liberal Progressives gloating over their “victory.” Victory over what? Common sense?

Please God forgive them. They know not what they do.

Unanimously!?

WTF!?

My Texas Senators, Cornyn and Hutchison and the rest of the RINO Senators are worthless. They are worse than worthless. They are  RINO crony capitalists of the worst degree and should be run out on a rail for this attack on our food supply and the ability for a small farmer to feed his own family, not to mention compete with the industrial scale farms or imported foods. I’m sure they and the other RINO’s are happy with their kickbacks for allowing this POS to go through.

What kills me is, they had it beat.

From The Hill:

Reid’s staff earlier in the day had told a coalition of groups supporting the legislation that it had a chance of passing but the prospects appeared to dim as Sunday wore on. The swift approval by unanimous consent caught some aides and lobbyists working on it by surprise.

Sen. Tom Coburn, the outspoken conservative Republican from Oklahoma, had been blocking the legislation. He lifted his objection at the final moment. ['bot - Why?]

So, I guess, technically, the vote will stay on the record and the RINO’s “save face” by simply removing objection to a procedural issue.

Don’t forget this two years from now.

One of those esteemed Senators could have backed Coburn in his objection. Sometimes a little encouragement to do the right thing is all that is needed to do the right thing.

Shame on all of you. F^%<ing bastards.

Anyone had enough yet?

Are you a citizen, or a subject?

A beautiful day for a neighbor.
Would you be mine?

Won’t you be, my neighbor?

Hi boys and girls.

Welcome to Mr. Robot’s neighborhood.

A lot has been happening over the last few weeks, and sometimes we get so busy that we forget to take time for friends. to smell the roses so to speak.

There are lots of flower gardens in Mr. Robot’s neighborhood. There are lilies, daffodils, dandelions, azaleas, obaminions, daisys, Chaz Yonsons. Not to mention the rose bushes.

And speaking of roses, it’s been a while since we’ve gone to see our friend Carol who, strangely, makes the robot dream of electric sheep. (shhhh – Don’t go there. This is a PG 13 show.)

Would you kids like to come with me to visit the nice ladies in the neighborhood? Sure you would. Let’s go.

Carol has been busy decorating and adding her own brand of Christmas spice to her No Sheeples Here! website. She has also been honored with a nomination for the “Grande Conservative Blogress Diva 2011” award from Gay Patriot. And we here at the Robot’s Pub and Pool Hall congratulate her for this most deserved nomination.

Why the nomination? Could be for snarky commentary such as this:

Culled from Hotair. I include all regional home office numbers as well. Can’t say whether anyone will pick up the phone on Saturday, but if they’ve got 300 messages Monday morning we’ll have done our job:

Twitter is saying the vote is scheduled for 10:30 this morning but I can’t confirm that. The hastag is #DREAM to follow the conversation.
Here’s C-Span’s link if you want to watch online.
From Kaus’ piece linked by Allah:
You’ve heard of “comprehensive” reform? DREAM is non-comprehensive reform. It doesn’t even have the basic enforcement provisions—employer sanctions and fancy new ID cards—that were part of the earlier, failed “comprehensive” bargain, which wasn’t a very good bargain (in part because nobody was sure the enforcement schemes wouldn’t be immediately undermined by lawsuits from the same organizations who supported “comprehensive” reform). DREAM is all amnesty, no prevention. Maybe that’s because its backers care about amnesty but not prevention.
This is a disaster of epic proportions just waiting to explode.
We beat back the Omnibus. Let’s beat back this nightmare.

…to the Robot’s garage.

The old bearded gentleman brought me  new K & N Typhoon cold air intake kit (the blue tubes and the box with the shiny carbon fiber top for the uninitiated). A friend and I installed it Wednesday evening. More him than me, actually. It’s good to know someone who owns a garage with a lift. – Yes, we had to get under the car to install the intake behind the grill.

Needless to say, I’m excited to have 7 – 8 more horses under the hood. I can already tell the difference in the response time and you can hear the carbon fiber top slam against the intake box if you romp on it. Those horses want some air NOW! I’d heard that sound before, and just didn’t know what it was.

Don’t get me wrong here, I’m no tuner geek by any stretch of imagination. In fact, this is the only modification I’ve done to this car. I’ve even still got the stock radio/CD changer. So, no chips in my future.

Hell, most of the stuff I’ve bought over the last couple of months has been food stuffs and survival gear. Gotta give in to the boyish side every now and then.

Now I’m off for a spin. ~ L8R

PS. Can anyone guess the make/model of the car? Super bonus points for year.

Do those guys ransacking the diner remind you of our Congress?

Does Fiona bring to mind someone trying hard to ignore the destruction of our constitution?

Does Fiona meet with The Other McCain’s or Wombat’s *ahem* strict Rule 5 specifications?

Patience, grasshopper. Sunday awaits.

Another gem from the Robot’s mail bag:

A Texan cruises thru a stop sign and gets pulled over by a local policeman. The guy hands the cop his driver’s license, insurance verification, plus his concealed carry permit.

“Okay, Mr. Smith,” the cop says, “I see your CC permit. Are you carrying today?”

“Yes, I am.”

“Well then, better tell me what you got.”

Smith says, “Well, I got a .357 revolver in my inside coat pocket. There’s a 9mm semi-auto in the glove box. And, I’ve got a .22 magnum derringer in my right boot.”

“Okay,” the cop says. “Anything else?”

“Yeah, back in the trunk, there’s an AR15 and a shotgun. That’s about it.”

“Mr. Smith, are you on your way to or from a gun range…?”

“Nope.”

“Well then, what are you afraid of…?”

“Not a damn thing…”

…I have the utmost admiration for those with the tenacity to run a small business. Especially dealing with the government red tape and all the unforeseen snags that pop up demanding immediate attention or resolution.

Just wanted to say, my hat’s off to ya.

Salute!

Posting has been light this week, as I’m sure both of you are aware. Been a lot of happenings at work and here at the Robot’s Pub and Pool Hall.

The new shirts are back from the printer and we, meaning me, myself and the imaginary girlfriend who lives in my head, are busy with the learning curve of setting up the tax and shipping options in the Robo-Shoppe.

Of course, I wasn’t aware that I needed to register with USPS for any shipping options, and I didn’t find that out until today (Sunday). USPS is, of course, closed for renovations on Sundays don’-cha-know, which means the new shirts won’t be available through the online store until some time tomorrow (12/13/10). Arrgghh.

As of now, I’m busy trying to “stock” the products in their respective online bins and such, which entails creating a new product for each size if I wish the program to help me keep track of inventory, and I do. Tedious.

So, rather than continue to bore you with the further details, I’ll share with you a couple of photos of the final products. We changed the coloring of the “Peace thru Strength” tee to a more solarized, psychadelic type of motif, which I think is pretty cool. Here, see for yourself. (I think they look even better in person.)

The other, “Smiley Face Nuke” is radical as well.

We here at the Robot’s Pub and Pool Hall think every red-blooded American needs one of these fine pieces of apparel, so we are offering them at the rock bottom price of $16 each plus tax, title and shipping.

We can’t think of a better way to thumb your nose at the despot of the month than to smile in the face of danger or turn a beloved sixties commie/hippie icon on it’s head.

That’s all for now.

We’re off to the shoppe to stock some inventory.

Peace out. ~ ‘Bot

From the Robo-Mail box:

Dear Abby,

My husband has a long record of money problems.  He runs up huge credit-card bills and at the end of the month, if I try to pay them off, he shouts at me, saying I am stealing his money.  He says pay the minimum and let our kids worry about the rest, but already we can hardly keep up with the interest.

.

Also he has been so arrogant and abusive toward our neighbors that most of them no longer speak to us.  The few that do are an odd bunch, to whom he has been giving a lot of expensive gifts, running up our bills even more.

.

Also, he has gotten religious.  One week he hangs out with Catholics and the next with people who say the Pope is the Anti-Christ, and the next he’s with Muslums.

.

Finally, the last straw.    He’s demanding that before anyone can be in the same room with him, they must sign a loyalty oath.  It’s just so horribly creepy!
Can you help?
Signed, Lost in DC

.

.

Dear Lost:
Stop whining, Michelle.
You can divorce the jerk any time you want.
The rest of us are stuck with him for two more years!

Doh!

I hope everyone has called or faxed or emailed their Senators to urge them to oppose the DREAM Act, which just yesterday passed the House of Representatives and heads to the Senate today, and the Forced Unionization bill now under debate, soon to be voted on in both houses of Congress.

As I told my Senator yesterday evening in a short email, it would be better to have these issues and other such major legislation discussed after the newly elected congress is installed. In fact, I think any Lame Duck congress should be limited to legislation which deals with funding the military or the operation of our government only.

Of course, the Democraps currently seated don’t see it that way. They think since they are on the way out, why waste the opportunity to whack you once or twice more with additional laws we’ll have to fight for repeal of, thus enabling, in the case of the DREAM nightmare, further painting of anyone against the DREAM Act as racist and against the poor starving under-privileged immigrants who are here lawfully (only once the amnesty bill passes). They know that once a law is in place it will be almost impossible to repeal, especially after 2 years of implementation. The same holds true for the misleadingly named “Public Safety Employer-Employee Cooperation Act.” The TEA Party Republicans will have a lot on their plate to repeal in 2013. Do we need, or can we stand to pile more on that already heaping shingle? I think not.

Republicans have a lousy track record when it comes to repealing bad legislation. In fact, I can’t think of very many times it has happened. Republicans by their nature are less active in dealing with repeal of bad laws. Most will just learn to live with it or in the case of the RINO’s (read Progressive Republicans) be active in the enactment of such laws.

TEA Partiers, Americans, our job did not finish with this election. We just got started. We must be ever vigilant over this monster of a government that wishes US to be more and more like the failed model of Europe. If you love your country and would like to see her returned to her former glory as the beacon of freedom to the world, join with the rest your sane neighbors and call your Senators and Congresmen to oppose these destructive bills.

Congress.org has a list of who represents you.

That is all.

Just wondering.

Opus#6 brings up the subject when she posts a picture of Lady Liberty naked and asks:

Is ogling lady liberty’s hot cakes making us a better nation?

Good question. I felt a bit guilty after seeing the image.

It’s a natural thing, I suppose. I mean, who hasn’t cruised by Liberty Island and hollered, “Hey toots, nice cans!”

The way things are going, wouldn’t a better acronym for the TSA be T N A?

No, I’m not going to post the image. You’ll have to head over to American Perspective to see Lady Liberty Naked, then you can be ashamed of yourself, just like me. Although, I didn’t purposefully go there to see that image like you’re about to, so I’m still technically innocent. See how that works?

You know, now that I think about it, does it make me an accomplice when I post the link? Nah, actually you don’t have to click the link. I’m really performing a public service by warning you that Opus#6 is posting Naked Lady Liberty pictures. She’s the one who should be ashamed.

Bad Opie. Bad.

Should you feel you need a spanking, I’ll be right here. 1500 miles and a quick grope and plane ride away.

Tune in Sunday to The Other McCain’s Rule 5 roundup to find out the answer to the question posed in the headline.

Found at American Digest, who says:

As a boy I would have strangled a thousand kittens to have something like this. As a man, I feel the same way.

Metropolis II

As I commented at A.D., Awesomely useless. I want to see it in person.

I’d bet Steve over at Motor City Times would get a kick out of this.
